The new “patient´s hotel” of the Ostseeklinik Schönberg-Holm with 245 patient´s rooms, replaces the previous one dating from the 1970s which no longer did justice to the requirement of day-to-day hospital life. The new building is linked to the existing ones in a way that a modern, contemporary clinic is the result. Thanks to the integration of the main entrance in the ground floor of the new building, the clinic presents a new face to the patients arriving. In accordance with the site, directly on the Baltic coast, the patients’ rooms have been designed and equipped to hotel standards and the design of the shell of the building, with its continuous balconies, incorporates design elements from cruise ships.

The opening of the  new “patient´s hotel” was 2010.

A further extension of 119 patient´s rooms and additional therapeutic areas and medical rooms is under construction. The opening is planned for autumn 2016.
